'tis the season

. . . for the FLU and I have SO got it.
The past 3 days have been pretty miserable, but on the bright side, I've been forced to slow down and actually just do NOTHING. I can't remember the last time I did that.
I'm also a little perturbed at the fact that I caught this bug at all, since I seem to have a seriously strong stomach most of the time. I can count on one hand the number of times I've ever spewed my guts. Here are the details for your reading pleasure:

Plague #1: Food poisoning at age 6. My whole family remembers that one vividly. That was one fun night.
Plague #2: December 2006 at Dordt. If I remember correctly, something was going around and my dear roomie Kara also got sick that same week, but Crystal managed to avoid it, likely from those superbly spectacular naps she was so good at taking! Oh, Res-hall-living, how we love thee.
Plague #3: December 2008. That ever-popular-flu-shot is sounding awfully tempting right about now. NOT that I believe in putting the world's health in the hands of vaccinations (ie: pharmaceutical companies - Now THERE'S a scary thought if you've done any research about them!!) (though admittedly, I agreee, there are vaccinations that are well worth their risks) . . . but it sure would be pleasant to feel like I'm my own keeper of my body I'm in again.

. . . So that's it. I just wanted to drop a note on here to let you know I'm still around. I will have to make a point of disciplining myself and making an appearance more than bi-montly.

Peace and good health to you all.
