April Showers

Hey all,
Long time no blog. It's high time I scribble something down so that if anyone reads this, they may be reassured I'm still breathing and kickin' around. Unfortunately for you in blogland, there's not a whole lot of interestingness for me to report, but I'll do my best, because at least a few minor (or not so minor) events have happened in the last post.

1. JUSTICE AND THE EVOLVING CHURCH: For anyone who cares to know, The Meeting Church in Oakville Ontario has some pretty spectacular vibes seeping out in the big wide world from their four walls. Let me tell you, the conference I went to on Justice was AMAZING and I wish every one I know (and don't know) could've had the change to be there. Shain Claiborne, Ron Sider (don't cringe, you ex-GEN300ers), and Jim Wallace were great too hear also. The conference stemmed from the Mennonite Brethren denomination, which most definitely has a lot of good things in order. Kudoos to them for playing one grand role in waking up today's generation of churchfolk who well, have some work to do. The conference really was amazing and rumour has it that something's in the works for next year, so you better be there!

2. I started working for Preferred Nutrition, a company that sells things like protein powder and natural health suppliments to health food stores. I get to do a lot of graphic design for them, making ads for their lectures and seminars, creating coupons, more ads . . . . I think I could get tired of the work in a few years, but the people are so great that it'd be hard to leave. I can't belive I found something like this company. I'm working in an office setting, which I still don't think of when I think of myself as an employee, but I AM in an office . . . and office that lets people wear JEANS to work! Yahoo! Not that I do . . . well, okay, sometimes I do.

So, that's it for now. I'm beyond fatigued and MUST sleep!

have got some seriously good stuff coming out of their denomination.
